About the Arkana
Sold as a compact crossover SUV, the Arkana is manufactured by the French automaker Renault.
Noticeable for its sloping rear roof, the Arkana takes internal inspiration from cars like the Renault Clio and Zoe.
Cabin features included numerous heating controls, a gear selector and a digital display.
Touchscreens vary in size depending on the model bought.
Renault’s first coupe sports utility vehicle, the Arkana was offered as a hybrid from day one.
Russian versions were built and assembled at the Moscow plant after first showcasing at the 2018 Moscow International Automobile Salon. These types use the B0 Platform, which is also used by the Dacia Logan, Dacia Sandero, Dacia Duster, Nissan Terrano, Renault Captur and the Nissan Kicks.
In South Korea, the vehicle was launched as the Renault Samsung XM3. Using the modular platform CMF-B and is only a front-wheel drive (unlike its counterpart).
There are two engine options for the South Korean version, these are 1.3-liter turbo petrol and a 1.6-liter petrol engine.
In 2020, the South Korean variant was released for the European market with a mild hybrid 1.3-liter turbo petrol engine using a 7-speed EDC gearbox.
Some fault codes commonly associated with this vehicle are:
- P0136 – The oxygen sensor located behind the catalytic converter is causing an issue.
- P0313 – A generic code, it signifies a misfire somewhere in the engine’s cylinders.
- P0300 – When there is not enough fuel being burned, this can result in a misfire, this fault code is the alert.
- P0420 – The oxygen levels are under the recommended range and therefore cause poor catalytic converter efficiency.
- P0638 – Translated, this error code means ‘throttle actuator control range.’
