Fault code P0102 represents an issue with the mass airflow (MAF) sensor, in particular the output voltage. This code is logged when a low voltage output is signaled to the engine control unit (ECU).
Conversely, P0103 is logged when the ECU detects a high voltage in the MAF sensor.
The MAF sensor is responsible for determining the amount of air that is coming into the engine through the intakes. This information is given to the ECU so that it can control the amount of fuel fed through the fuel injection system for the ideal air-fuel mixture.
This should be close to 14.7 parts of air to 1 part of fuel. The MAF sensor functioning incorrectly can lead to the engine operating improperly.
All vehicles have MAF sensors, so this fault code is always a possibility. However, manufacturers like Audi, Cadillac, and Hyundai have been noted to have this issue somewhat more frequently.
Other Signs of This Problem

If there are no obvious issues with the circuitry or dirty components, the MAF sensor may need to be replaced.
