About the Nexo
Developed by the South Korean car manufacturer Hyundai, the Nexo is a hydrogen fuel cell-powered crossover sports utility vehicle.
Rather than traditionally releasing the model at a Motor Show, Hyundai chose to unveil the new Nexo at the Consumer Electronics Show in 2018.
With a driving range of 570 km, the Nexo has three fuel tanks and uses the modified underpinnings of the Tucson.
Hyundai provides fuel cell components with a ten-year guarantee and by October 2020, sales reached 10,000 alone in South Korea.
All new technologies were installed to include highway driving assist, lane following assist, blind spot view monitor and blind spot vision, using a series of monitors about the vehicle to help with lane changing on motorways.
Steering is gently guided to aid the vehicle in staying between the lines and by using sensors, the Nexo can automatically change the speed to keep driving safe.
Installed within the Nexo is an air purification system, one that is capable of removing 99.9% of PM2.5 fine particle matter.
Some usual error codes for this vehicle are:
- P0106 – strange readings coming from the MAP circuit.
- P0159 – A sensor that is found in the exhaust system, this code signifies it is not functioning correctly
- P0269 – Cylinder number three is contributing poorly to the running of the engine.
- P0456 – The ECM has found a small leak in the evaporative system, this is a generic code.
- P0128 – Engine coolant has been found to be below the adequate temperature.
