About the Versa Note
Built as a Mini MPV, the Note is a five-door hatchback created by the Japanese car manufacturer Nissan.
The first models had a number of modern features for 2004, including a satellite navigation screen, climate control system and intelligent key with proximity sensors.
For the European market, Nissan showcased the Note at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show and, using the Nissan B platform, it shared underpinnings with other cars like the Nissan Juke, Nissan Wingroad, Tilda, NV200, Livina, Bluebird Sylphy, Renault Zoe, Renault Wind, Renault Clio IV, Renault Captur, Nissan Micra and the Nissan Cube.
Some Notes can register the following error codes:
- P0014 – Signifying an issue with the exhaust camshaft timing, this fault code requires immediate attention as it can result in a serious engine problem. Drivers are advised to cease driving immediately and take the car to a mechanic. There can be a number of problems that cause this code like dirty engine oil, a seized camshaft phaser or a failure of the camshaft variable timing solenoid.
- P059f – A code that shows a problem with the active grille air shutter, P059f is a fairly common trouble code meaning that there is an incorrect amount of airflow traveling through the active grill shutters. Some causes include a stuck active grille shutter motor or corroded wires and can result in a noisy engine, slow acceleration, the illumination of the check engine light and, perhaps most alarming, a burning smell eliminating from the vehicle’s vents. By using an OBD-II scanner, a mechanic will check all the relative wires for damage and replace the grille air shutter motor as a last resort.
