Audi – OXYGEN SENSOR HEATER CIRCUIT, BANK 2 – SENSOR 1 SHORT TO GROUND
For Audi and Volkswagen, fault code P1119 is logged when the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected a short circuit in the heater circuit for the first oxygen sensor in bank 2 of the engine.
The heater circuit is responsible for bringing the oxygen sensor up to operating temperatures quickly after starting the engine.
Oxygen sensors are placed in the exhaust system to monitor the air-fuel mixture in the exhaust fumes. This information is fed back to the PCM so that it can make upstream adjustments to prevent excessively lean or excessively rich conditions.
This fault code indicates that there is an electrical issue present, causing a short to ground. This means the heater circuit will be unable to bring the sensor up to temperature properly.

Citroën – MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE TEMPERATURE CIRCUIT HIGH INPUT
For Citroen, Ford, and Peugeot, fault code P1119 is logged when the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected an issue with the signal from the manifold absolute temperature circuit.
The manifold absolute temperature sensor is responsible for monitoring the temperature of the air entering the manifold. This is done in conjunction with the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor.
Both of these sensors give information to the PCM, which in turn controls the fuel injectors based on the thermodynamic properties of the air entering the combustion chamber to increase performance and efficiency.
The code indicates that there is a high signal from the sensor. This can be caused by electrical faults in the circuit like a faulty sensor, loose connections, or damaged wires.

Nissan – RADIATOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR CIRCUIT
For Nissan, fault code P1119 is logged when the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected an issue with the radiator temperature sensor circuit.
As its name implies, the radiator temperature sensor is responsible for monitoring the temperature of the radiator. This information is fed back to the PCM to ensure it is operating at the desired temperatures.
This forms an essential part of the engine’s cooling system.
The fault code indicates that there is an electrical issue within the sensor’s circuit. This can be caused by damaged wires or loose connections. Additionally, it is very likely that the sensor itself needs to be replaced.
