About the Accord (incl. Acura TSX)

The Accord was first unveiled in 1976 and has remained on the market ever since. This makes it one of the oldest Honda models currently available.

Since its release, there have been a staggering 11 generations of the model. The latest of these was unveiled in 2022. It has also been sold as the Acura TSX in North America since 2002.

Not only has it been one of the oldest models in Honda’s lineup, it is one of the best, winning multiple awards over the years.

The latest version of the Accord has received some high praise since its release. This has put it at the top of its segment, followed by competitors like the Kia K5, Hyundai Sonata, Toyota Camry and Nissan Altima.

One of the most common issues that the model has faced is P0141. This code indicates that there is a fault with the heated oxygen sensor heater circuit.

Owners have commonly reported that this issue is caused by a faulty oxygen sensor. There can also be electrical faults in the sensor circuit that cause this problem.

Fault code P0341 is another common problem that the Accord has suffered from. This code is logged when a problem has been detected with the camshaft position sensor.

Similar to the previous issue, this code is typically caused by a faulty sensor. In this case, it will be the camshaft position sensor. Again, electrical faults could be the cause.

P0171 has also been reported by owners fairly often. This code indicates that the engine is running too lean.

This can be a very frustrating code to fix as its potential causes can be extensive. Anything that disrupts the ideal air-fuel mixture can cause this issue.
